Tai Chi for Arthritis: Designed by Dr. Paul Lam in conjunction with a team of Tai Chi and medical experts, the Tai Chi for Arthritis program has been proven, by scientific study, to increase strength, improve balance, relieve pain and improve quality of life in people of all ages afflicted with arthritis. Tai Chi for Arthritis is based on the Sun Tai Chi Style with many local and national Arthritis Foundations supporting this program.
Yang Style Tai Chi: This ancient martial art has long been coveted as the Supreme Ultimate Fighting System. As a healing art, the Yang Forms will strengthen the body, increase flexibility and range of motion while providing mental clarity and amazing balance. There are many research studies documenting the benefits of Yang Tai Chi for health and vitality. We provide Yang Tai Chi training in the 108 Long Form as taught by Dr. Alan Chen's lineage. (Chen Youhong) Our beginner and intermediate students train in the National Yang 24 Forms.
Qigong: An ancient tradition of healing that dates back some 3000 years; Qigong lovingly blends relaxed breath, strong posture and precise movements into an inner peace you will find with no other exercise routine. Stimulate your organs, and revitalize your body. Want to live to be 100 years old? Qigong is the answer. Our workshops and classes can be custom tailored to the level of the participants. From extremely challenging to loving and gentle, we can provide a Qigong program to fit your requirements.
Smiling Heart Qigong: Our Assisted Living Program is designed to help support the AL Community in gentle core strengthening and balance training with an emphasis on fall prevention. Our experience in both Eastern and Western Therapy modalities allows us to provide a unique training environment that is both strengthening to the body and mind while stimulating smiling hearts and promoting a strong, supportive, community spirit.
