that is based on the most up to date research and trends in wellness
and nutrition.
::Why Tai Chi?: While practiced
for thousands of years in China, Tai Chi is still only practiced
in the Western world by those who have dared to venture through
its doors of knowledge. We present the scientific and more esoteric
reasons why Tai Chi is such a great form of exercise. We stimulate
attendees mind's by challenging the application of Tai Chi to their
daily lives. We promote an honest question and answer session where
people can challenge what they have heard. By class end, most are
up on their feet, practicing a new form of exercise with relaxed
breath, a quite mind and a calm spirit.
::Tai Chi for Arthritis: This seminar is very
similar in structure to "Why Tai Chi" (listed above) but
extra emphasis is directed towards the needs of arthritic patients
and those with other joint sensitivities that can benefit from this
gentle form of exercise. We present the latest in Arthritis Foundation
research and strive to answer questions related to this wide spread
disease.
::Tai Chi for Back Pain: This seminar is very
similar in structure to "Why Tai Chi" (listed above) but
extra emphasis is directed towards the strain placed on the lower
back and abdominal region. According to recent medical findings,
strengthening the deep muscles closest to the spine significantly
improve spinal stability and protection from injury. Tai Chi for
Back Pain is specifically designed to pay close attention to the
region of the body.
::Wellness at the Office: Often we do not have
time for a full hour of exercise in our busy schedules or simply
do not have access to an exercise facility. Wellness at the Office
presents a series of simple, effective exercises specifically designed
to reduce tension while strengthening the upper and lower back.
With the onset of carpal tunnel rampant, we include a few time proven
tips for healthy wrists. Visualization, relaxed deep breathing and
precise movements are fused to deliver a 5 minute workout that can
add years to your life. This is thousand year old technology for
the modern world.
::Why Massage?: Which method of massage is right
for you? How can I find a good masseuse? Explore the history, modalities
and benefits of this amazing practice with us. Massage therapy is
moving from the "back room to the board room" as our high
speed, hyper-stressed society kicks it up a notch for the 21st century.
We can incorporate into this program an afternoon of Chair Massage
for your staff.
::5 Minute Meditations: Meditation, prayer, quiet
time ...Whatever you want to call it, everyone needs to find a quiet
space to call their own. We present a series of 5 minute meditations
(along with practice time) to help attendees find a small bit of
quiet in an otherwise very noisy world. Various points of focused
are used from the alphabet to sound vibrations for this fun, informative
seminar.
::Ergonomics in the Office: All of our programs
provide some emphasis on the importance of posture in our daily
lives. Ergonomics in the Office takes it a step further by discussing
the importance of workspace postural and alignment issues to your
health. By the end of this seminar you will be ready to evaluate
your workspace and create a healthy, comfortable environment for
yourself.
