:: Tai Chi for Arthritis Instructor Continuing Education Workshop

As the senior instructor for the Arthritis Foundation's Tai Chi for Arthritis Program in Texas, Sifu Chris Bouguyon is dedicated to ensuring all TCA certified instructors have the tools they need to conduct fun and effective TCA classes. Our goal is to provide TCA Instructors avenues to advance their knowledge and application of Tai Chi principals as well as maintain a high level of proficiency with the TCA program materials. Sifu Chris works closely with the Arthritis Foundation, trains weekly with Dr. Alan Chen, is in direct contact with Dr. Paul Lam and his TCA Master Trainers working hard to stay updated on the latest information on arthritis, exercise and Dr. Lam's TCA programs.

:: Enhanced Training Workshop for Martial Artists

Is your martial passion is Tae Kwon Do, Jeet Kun Do, Jujitsu, Judo, Karate or Kenpo? Tai Chi Chuan (Supreme Ultimate Fist) is based on basic principals that apply to all forms of martial training. Learn how these powerful principals can be applied directly to your chosen martial path significantly enhancing your current training while providing insights into what has been called the most powerful martial art on the planet.

Over the last 28 years, Sifu Chris Bouguyon has trained in over 16 different styles of martial arts with some very talented teachers. He will share his 12 years of Tai Chi experience and training with complete sincerity and integrity while drawing on his other martial training to provide clear perspective into your art. Determined to provide you with tools to take you to higher levels within your chosen martial practice, Sifu Chris delivers a fun, adaptive workshop with depth and LOTS of hard work.

:: Intuitive Defense Workshop

Personal defense can take on many perspectives between simply keeping your eyes and ears open and hand to hand combat. It has been my experience that hand to hand combat (while LOTS of fun) is impractical for most simply because you need to practice it DAILY to have it be affective when you need it most. Unless martial arts is your passion too, might I suggest an alternative.

Our Intuitive Defense Workshops (12 years in the making) are specifically designed to enhance the skills each of us already has within us. In my work, I have met and trained with many Police Officers each of which has a clear cut story of a time when their "gut instincts" saved their life on the streets. This intuition live in all of us but too often we ignore it in clear and present danger. Come learn to listen through practical, fun exercises and drills that will stimulate your mind, body and spirit towards personal safety. Best of all, after the first week, you will practice these skills daily without even realizing it!!

Cut to the chase - BE SAFER NOW. These classes are designed to be taught in a 6-week 12 class series however a modified program can be taught in less time.

:: Pain Management Workshop

For some, pain is a part of everyday life. Western practice is to mask the pain with powerful medications which do little to help you gain control between doses and do a lot to affect the rest of your body. (Just read the "side effects statements") In Eastern practice, we learn to use deep breathing, focused concentration and Qigong tension release techniques to ease pain. Sifu Chris Bouguyon has been working with pain management for most of his career. He has assisted student from age 8 to 93 learn how to manage seeming hopeless pain.

::Wellness at the Office

This unique set of simple, effective exercises derived from ancient knowledge of the human body are designed to release the pressures of the day from your neck and shoulders. These healing techniques require very little room to execute. Sitting at your desk or standing behind your chair, take five minutes to do just one of these jewels; your neck and shoulders will thank you.

::Meditation

Learn how to turn off the world. Meditation is not about a sound proof room, candles, mood music and an hour of time. Meditation is about finding calm in an unsettling world; creating a safe space to relax and rejuvenate. Individually or in a group class setting, we explore various techniques and skills to help you find that safe space to relax and center. Learn skills that you can use while driving, working and even during a business meeting.

::Qigong

An ancient tradition of healing that dates back some 3000 years. Relaxed breath, precise movements and an inner peace you will find with no other exercise routine. Stimulate your organs, and revitalize your body. Want to live to be 100 years old, Qigong is the answer.
