Tai Chi Applied Principles: Two Person Training

Test your understanding of Tai Chi and Qigong Principles by working with a partner! This fun and interactive class will explore the traditional, and now relatively rare, two person methods inherent to Tai Chi, Qigong training, and other traditional systems of Chinese movement (such as Baguazhang, for example).

Topics explored include:

-Rooting and grounding exercises - Zhan Zhuang Dui Lian

-Alignment training/testing, and moving from the center of the body - Taiji Shen Fa/Zhong Ding

-Push Hands methods, classical Chen and Yang styles - Tui Shou Fa

-Sticking and listening hands - Zhan Nian Lian Sui (or to "adhere, stick, listen, and follow")

Note:  This class is suitable for all levels of ability and experience. A background in Tai Chi, Qigong or a similar disipline is recommended, but not required!
