Bagua Zhang, or the “8 Trigram Palm,” is a health, wellness, and martial practice which is gaining popularity in China and the west as an alternative therapeutic modality to Tai Chi and Yoga.
Having evolved separately from these other eastern healing arts, Bagua is a wonderful alternative to the often slow rhythmic motions of Tai Chi or the stationary postures held in many styles of Yoga.
Bagua’s trademark circular walking patterns, spiraling arm and leg movements, and solo as well as partner training methods help to work balance, explore range of motion in the joints and spine, and gently strengthen the entire body from the inside out.
Note: This class is suitable for all levels of ability and experience. A background in Tai Chi, Qigong or a similar disipline is recommended, but not required!
